Cortest takes your data seriously. This page summarizes what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. A final, lawyer-approved version will replace this draft before public launch.
What we store
- Account basics: your email, sign-up timestamp, last login. Required for the app to function.
- Learning data: decks you create, flashcards, reviews, and session history. Needed to schedule future reviews and show progress.
- Source material you upload: we retain the extracted text for as long as the deck lives. Raw PDFs are discarded after extraction.
- Billing data (when applicable): handled by Stripe. We store a customer ID and subscription status, never card details.
- Analytics: anonymous product usage events (via PostHog) to understand where the app slows down or breaks. You can opt out in Settings.
What we don't do
- Sell your data to third parties. Not now, not ever.
- Train public AI models on your source material or your reviews.
- Share your content with other users unless you explicitly publish a deck.
Your rights
You can export everything we store at any time from Settings → Account → Export. You can delete your account from the same screen — a 30-day restore window applies, after which data is permanently removed.
